Kanoodle Appoints Lance Podell As CEO
Kanoodle today announced the appointment of Lance Podell, currently president, to chief executive officer, effective immediately. Podell takes over the position of CEO from the company’s founder, Kent Keating, who will now serve as Kanoodle’s chairman.
Mr. Podell will continue to drive Kanoodle’s business, providing advertisers with the most transparency and control over their sponsored links campaigns and offering publishers the most advanced suite of sponsored links products for all of their pages. He will be based in Kanoodle’s New York City office.
“Kanoodle has achieved a great deal of success over the past year and we will continue working to grow our business in 2005,” says Podell. “I’m thrilled to be able to lead Kanoodle as we redefine the sponsored links industry and set the standard for product innovation, program execution and advertiser satisfaction.”
Podell joined the company in December of 2003 to help launch its content division. Before coming to Kanoodle, he was the general manager of Sprinks, a division of About, Inc., a Primedia company. Prior to that he was chief marketing officer at DealTime, Inc., now Shopping.com. He is a graduate of Lafayette College and holds an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.
