AOL and CBS Radio has reached an agreement whereby video contents from AOL’s Truveo will be made available on CBS Radio’s websites. Under the said partnership, Truveo’s video search engine will be integrated into more than 35 CBS Radio stations spanning several different formats and markets across the country.
Truveo has a wide selection of high-quality and professionally produced video from many of the world’s major media brands including CBS, ABC, BBC, CNBC to name just a few. Truveo also indexes user-generated video content from popular video uploading sites YouTube and Dailymotion.
Kevin Conroy, Executive Vice President of AOL said that CBS Radio is one of the companies at the forefront of converging new and traditional media.
“By using Truveo to enhance their sites with videos from across the Web, CBS RADIO is giving its listeners a fuller and richer online experience,” says Conroy.
CBS Radio President of Marketing, David Goodman thinks that incorporating video content into CBS Radio Websites makes perfect sense as a way to reach their ever growing audience which is being affected by the boom in online video.
“Truveo’s easy-to-use developer tools allowed us to quickly implement its video search engine so our listeners and website visitors can have a world-class video experience,” says Goodman.
