With videos becoming more popular as a source of information and entertainment, it becomes very hard to keep track of new videos that get uploaded on daily on various video uploading sites. Fortunately for all of us who are fond of watching video streams to learn about many things, Google has included video updates on its Alert service. Google Alerts makes it easy for users to keep track of videos that come out of the web through email alerts.
To setup video alerts, users can either go to the Google Alerts Homepage and select video as the alert type and specify a keyword to filter what videos are included in the Alerts. Likewise, video alerts can also be setup while conducting video search on Google’s search portal. Right below the search results page, a new link to the Google Alerts homepage becomes available.
Alerts for new videos related to the user’s specified topic are culled from various video uploading sites such as Google video, YouTube and other video uploading sites.
Google Alerts is also available for other types of web material such as news, blogs or the whole of the web.
