Have you ever wondered how many times a Vine video has been viewed? Now you will see loop counts on videos to indicate how many times people have looped a video, including on Vine and in embeds across the web.
In an announcement posted yesterday, Vine says that loop counts will be immediately available on iOS and Android mobile apps, as well as on the web.
With this update, there’s now a new way for you to quickly get a sense of how popular and interesting a Vine may be –– based on how many times people watch a Vine loop.
Loop counts will update in real time, so as you watch a video you’ll know you’re watching with others at the same time.
Vine also announced a redesigned home feed. The feeds in Vine’s Android and iPhone apps now feature a new design, with the main enhancements being bigger edge-to-edge videos and a cleaner view of likes and comments.
Vine has also revamped the Activity feed to make it clearer for users to see what’s happening on their your Vines. New and Older Activity will be separated, and you will also receive notifications with you’ve reached certain milestones, such as amount of likes etc.
Vine started tracking loop counts on April 3, 2014. For Vines created on or before this date, you will see a “+” sign that indicates the actual loop count is higher, as the video had most likely been looped several times before April 3rd.
