Ask Jeeves Launches Blog Search in Japan
Ask Jeeves has released a blog search engine into the Japanese market. The service, currently in beta, includes the ability to subscribe to feeds in Bloglines, and currently has over 4 million Japanese blogs in its index.
In May of 2005 Japan Today reports that number of blogs in Japan totalled 3.35 million at the end of March and that about 16.51 million people visit blogs at least once a month.
Whether the service is rolled out into English speaking markets is not clear at this stage, however Ask Jeeves does provide blog search through Bloglines.
