CareerBuilder.com Selling Contextual Advertising via Quigo

CareerBuilder.com Selling Contextual Advertising via Quigo

After ESPN.com decided to halt the serving of Yahoo Contextual Ads on its site and replace its contextual advertising with an ‘in-house’ offering via Quigo AdSonar, I’m sure some other large publishers on the market are comparing their current contextual advertising partners with an alternative in Quigo.

One such large publisher, CareerBuilder, has now also taken the path of private label contextual advertising.

From the press release:

CareerBuilder.com will generate new revenue through an auction-based, pay-per-click program featuring content-targeted sponsored links placed by performance marketing advertisers.

“Offering this functionality provides more options for online advertisers who want to reach a vast audience of career-minded individuals,” says Hope Gurion, Vice President of Business Development for CareerBuilder.com. “With Quigo, we are now able to create opportunities for advertisers that fit a variety of budgets and business models, as well as maximize the relevancy of advertising to our visitors.”

Unlike other blind ad networks where advertisers are uncertain of the specific sites or pages on which their ads will run, CareerBuilder.com’s pay-per-click program powered by Quigo’s AdSonar will offer full transparency. Sponsored link advertisements will be available on the CareerBuilder.com website with multiple targeting options available to advertisers including the site’s Resource Center section, as well as specific pages and keywords. CareerBuilder.com and Quigo plan to integrate sponsored link ads with the Resource Center ’s rich content, enhancing user experience by serving highly-targeted ads based on user intent.
