In a recent interview from AdTech in New York City, Chris Butlin from Clickbooth.com announced the launch of RevContent, Clickbooth’s brand new content monetization widget.
Formerly known as CBCPC, RevContent is the latest expansion of Clickbooth’s cost per click product, and is designed to enable advertisers to reach new audiences. The new widget also features wider reaching functionality and allows sites to enhance the consumer experience and monetize users more effectively through strategic placement.
These are some key takeaways from the video:
- In the interview Butlin told SEJ that Clickbooth is “a content monetization widget that we’re working on placing with some of the largest major news publishers in the space right now.”
- The RevContent widget will be strategically placed in high engagement areas, specifically at the bottom of news articles to generate high user interaction.
- RevContent is called a “widget” rather than a simple advertisement or ad panel because of it’s heightened functionality. With RevContent, publishers can control their ads directly and decide how much advertising they would like to do, as well as what content is seen by the users.
- RevContent was created as a result of a marketplace need for a related content widget, as well as by the request of many Clickbooth publishers.
