Privacy-focused search engine DuckDuckGo recently announced the addition of several new Instant Answers to help you find more of what you need a lot faster.
DuckDuckGo’s Instant Answers are similar to Google’s quick answers, in that they provide what searchers are looking for immediately without having to click through to another site.
Here is an overview of the three new types of Instant Answers:
- Parking: Search for “parking near…” the destination of your choice, and DuckDuckGo will return a selection of the nearest lots and corresponding prices. Lots are sorted by location, so you’ll be able to find the best combination of proximity and price.
- Online Courses: Search for the subject of your choice, followed by “online courses”, and you’ll get direct links to sign up for them. This can help you find the most reputable course providers,and save you from having to sift through the organic results.
- UV Risk Factor: Search for “UV index” and you’ll get the UV risk factor for you’re location. With this you can see much sunscreen you’ll need before going outside.
