Do you use forums as part of your marketing? They can be a great way to get your name out there, make new connections, and drive traffic to your websites, via the signature boxes. Consequently, Google favors forums and has indexed them fairly well.
In the forum space, there are a few problems: one, they haven’t evolved much; second, they’re almost impossible to browse using a mobile browser; and third, the space is very fragmented. Additionally, forums are seeing their desktop traffic being cannibalized to mobile without viable solutions
Fortunately for us forum users, there are a few competitors in the space. You’ll find that more and more venture capitalists are investing in this space. Today a new competitor entered this space and the name of their app is Topify. They were formerly known as a twitter application that allowed you to manage your twitter account through email. Since then the owners and the existing leadership have gone different ways.
Topify is free to download and is compatible with both Android and iOS phones. I really like what Topify has done, as they’ve made it easy to browse forums on the mobile phone and made it easy for forum owners to integrate Topify into their own forums. I suspect lots of forum owners will be attracted to the new app as they can also broaden their reach by including their forum into the directory, earn money from page views, and customize the look of their forum.
