Google to Expand Home Service Ads to 30 US Cities by End of Year

Google to Expand Home Service Ads to 30 US Cities by End of Year

Following a successful run as a pilot program, Google says it will expand Home Services ads to more cities.

Now out of pilot, Home Services has been renamed Local Services. Currently available in 17 US cities, Local Services will be available in 30 major metro areas by the end of the year.

Local Services allows service-area businesses to appear at the top of search results, making it easier to accept bookings from local clients.

In addition to helping local businesses stand out, Local Services ads feature a Google Guarantee badge which lend additional credibility to the business.

There is also an app specifically for managing leads that come in from Local Services ads.

Businesses can accept bookings, respond to customer questions, and track conversions all within the app. The app can also be used for tracking calls and managing budgets.

If a business gets too busy, the app can be used for turn off Local Services ads temporarily.

”Small businesses all over the U.S. are using Local Services to bring in more calls from new customers who are actively looking to book service providers through the platform.”

Google reports that some businesses have seen up to a 70% increase in booking rates since joining Local Services.
