An exact month after adding multiple trips to Google Maps on Android, the feature has now come to the iOS version of Maps.
Until now, Maps users on iOS have only been able to get directions from one place to another. Maps on iOS has been lagging behind its desktop and Android counterparts, which both offer the ability to plot multiple destinations in one trip.
Now you can plot multiple destinations on Google Maps no matter what device you’re using. It works by opening the app, entering a destination, tapping the corner menu, and then tapping “Add stop”.
You can do this over and over again for as many locations as you desire. You can even rearrange the order of the stops by long-pressing on a location and dragging it in the order you’d like to see. Tap “Done” when everything is set up the way you’d like it.
When you enter navigation mode the experience will be just like you’re already used to — with a few more stops along the way. The updated Google Maps for iOS is live today in the App Store.
