How to Interview Remote Workers [Infographic]

Did you know the entire Search Engine Journal team is 100% telecommute? Meaning we are based all over the world.

And you can bet we’re not the only one telecommuting.

In a The New York Times article, the American Community Survey revealed that telecommuting increased 79% between 2005 and 2012. In 2014, it made up 2.6% of the American work force.

As more and more companies are recognizing the power of remote workers, it’s important to know that interviewing remote staff is different from that of a traditional job interview.

In relation to this, Hubstaff released an infographic on how to interview remote workers—including what to look for in a candidate and strategies for interviewing and hiring a remote staff.
