Reporting back after having a great time at Searchmetric’s sold out seminar, Marketing in a Search and Data Driven World. The event drew a full crowd of 100 people ready to network and learn from the thought leaders in attendance.
Promising to be the bridge between SEO and ROI, Searchmetrics’ seminar ended up being exactly that. With the amount of insight and knowledge shared by the speakers throughout the event, everyone in attendance got a substantial return on their investment.
Tom Schuster, CEO at Searchmetrics, kicked off the seminar with a keynote speech getting the audience hyped about the thought leaders they will get to listen to and learn from throughout the day.
This lead to the first speaker Dennis Goedegebuure, Head of Global SEO at Airbnb, who shared insights with the audience about the importance of data-driven SEO campaigns. As the head of global SEO for Airbnb, who has also spent 9 years working on global SEO for eBay, Dennis has a considerable amount of experience t0 speak from.
Igor Lebovic, Senior Vice President of Growth at About.com, continued the seminar sharing insights about a Post-Panda World. Igor’s responsibilities include SEO at a number of IAC properties, including About.com, Ask.com, Urbanspoon.com, and Productopia.com. Hard to argue that’s not an impressive resume to learn from!
Marcus Tober, Founder and CTO at Searchmetrics, continued the day by teaching the audience about Ranking and Relevancy. Tober describes himself as always being one to give new technology a try, and he certainly proved it.
Jordan Koene, SEO & Content Development Manager at eBay, concluded the day with an insightful look at validating enterprise data. With three years as the SEO and Content Development Manager at eBay, Jordan knows that measuring the impact of great content is just as important as developing it.
One of the highlights of the day for most attendees was the networking hour that officially ended the seminar. Many valuable connections were made along with new knowledge gained about paid and organic search, which were the key topics of the day’s speeches.
