Search Engine Journal’s Coverage of SMX Advanced

Next week Rhea Drysdale will be joining me in Seattle to cover the next Search Marketing Expo Event, SMX Advanced. This marks the second year of SMX Advanced and we’re excited to have two writers available to cover the event.

In an effort to bring back the best information we’re inviting our readers to suggest questions and coverage ideas below.

We’re Not Going to Live Blog!
When I covered 2007’s SMX Social event in New York it was simply too difficult to live blog sessions thoroughly. There are some great writers in the space already doing that and our thought is that the value we bring would be to recap the biggest stories, provide analysis of the sessions — and deliver useful information that our readers can put to immediate use.

Be sure to check in with Bruce Clay’s Blog, Search Engine Roundtable and Search Engine Land as I expect them all to have conference coverage as well.

Going to the Event?
If you’re going to the event make sure you track down either Rhea or myself to say hello! We promise not to bite or snarl in your direction, and from what I’ve been told… we’re good people.

My Plan of Attack
With two tracks, there’s a bit of picking and choosing that needs to take place. Having reviewed the schedule a few dozen times, I think these will be the events I will attend and cover. Please keep in mind that I come from a strong organic background and have diminishing interest in paid search…
