Search Engine Roundtable Wins Marketing Sherpa’s Best Blog on Search Marketing 2005
Congratulations to Barry Schwartz and Search Engine Roundtable for winning the Marketing Sherpa’s Best Blog on Search Marketing 2005. Barry’s blog has grown over the past year as one of the more original places online to find breaking search engine news and trends as they happen. Search Engine Roundtable monitors search engine oriented discussions on web forums which Barry helps moderate or monitor.
Such forums include Cre8asite Forums, Search Engine Watch Forum, Webmaster World, and Digital Point among other popular boards. An honorable mention for a runner up blog should also go to Nick W. at ThreadWatch for his timely posts which also highlight useful forum threads and other search engine oriented happenings.
Andy Beal and Search Engine Lowdown won the award last year, and Search Engine Journal was a runner up in 2004. Marketing Sherpa noted the following when announcing this year’s award to Barry “We adore the unusual editorial tactic for the winning Blog in this category — instead of linking to news sites, the authors comment on and link to the very best new threads on search marketing on discussion boards all over the Web. So, it’s a true insiders-insider blog, and a reflection of what people are really talking about (vs what the media thinks.)”
Best to Barry, Ben, Kim, Nacho and other contributors to Search Engine Roundtable, you’ll always be in my Bloglines subscription!
