Website Navigation

Also known as: Internal Links (or Internal Linking), Site Architecture, internal link architecture

It is how a website connects its webpages to help visitors move from one webpage to another on that site.

There are two important types/forms of website navigation.

  • Primary navigation links to the most important sections or pages of a website. These are prominently placed for easy access.
  • Secondary navigation links to pages and content that must be easily accessible to visitors as well, but are of less importance.

In-content links is another form of navigation that helps by giving visitors easier access to other related pages within the same website.

FAQ
