This Sunday, August 29th the 62nd Annual Primetime Emmy Awards will be airing on NBC at 8pm ET. The insanely popular awards show will be recognizing the greatest in television from the past year including my favorite show – LOST! In addition to running on cable, the program will also be streaming live online, with the addition this year of Backstage Live @ the Emmys.
Live Streaming the 2010 Emmy Awards
NBC.com and Emmys.com have partnered with UStream for an Emmy first. This live streaming broadcast will give viewers a special look behind-the-scenes of the awards show with seven cameras set up around the backstage area. These cameras will show viewers around the world candid moments and genuine reactions from some of their favorite television stars.
Watch the Emmy Awards @ NBC.com/Emmys
Like that isn’t exciting enough, the Social TV experience site will be hosting a Red Carpet show that will – among other things – allow viewers to submit questions that will then be answered on air by AccessHollywood.com correspondent, Laura Saltman. Questions can be submit from now until 4pm PT/7PM ET the day of the show.
If you are planning on catching the broadcast online, here are a few of your best bets:
UStream.com – more than just watching the show, this site allows viewer interaction.
ATDHE.net – this site streams NBC programming live and will be doing so with the Emmys also.
justin TV – some pretty decent streaming links are said to become available here the night of the show.
