Who says Yahoo is on the brink of collapse and badly needs a saviour? Well, I don’t think financial woes is hitting Yahoo right now, as it can still afford to give out unlimited disk space, bandwidth and email storage space to its hosting clients.
Yahoo’s Small Business hosting service just announced that it is giving small businesses more room to grow their online business with unlimited disk space, data transfer and email storage. All for the measly sum of $11.95 per month. The new hosting package is open to small businesses who want to establish their presence online or strengthen their existing online business sites.
Guy Yaliff, director of Yahoo’s web hosting products, said that Yahoo wants to give business owners more time to focus on growing their business online rather than worrying about bandwidth and web space limit.
“Yahoo! has long been the trusted partner of choice for small businesses looking to launch or expand online. The new unlimited offer shows our ongoing commitment to driving value for small business owners, who are an important part of the ecosystem of partners that we’re focused on serving,” says Yaliff.
This unlimited web hosting package coupled with Yahoo’s web hosting features and tools is definitely a good service for small businesses. Hopefully, it brings more clients into Yahoo’s web hosting program.
I for one would make use of this service if I own a small business. Having your business sites sitting on Yahoo’s server would definitely bring good tidings to your search engine optimization woes, as Yahoo hosted sites would surely land on good pages in Yahoo SERPs for whatever keyword you designed it for.
